Scriptural Truths

Praying truths from the word of God over your children is one of the most powerful things a parent can do.  Here we've gathered some particularly relevant and helpful scriptures that you can pray over your middle schooler:

  • Matthew 6:33, “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”

Dear God, help (teen’s name) to seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and help them to live righteously, so that You will give them everything they need.

  • Mark 12:30, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.”

Heavenly Father, strengthen (teen’s name) to love You with all their heart, all their soul, all their mind, and all their strength.

  • Philippians 4:6-7, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Lord God, remind (teen’s name) to not worry about anything, but instead pray about everything. That they would tell You what they need and thank you for what You’ve done. Help them experience Your peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. May Your peace guard their heart and mind as they live in You.

  • Luke 2:52, “Jesus grew in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man.”

Dear Father, strengthen (teen’s name) to mature and grow the way Jesus did as a child…mentally, physically, spiritually, and relationally.

  • Romans 8:31  "If God is with me, who can be against me?"

Heavenly Father, we come before you today, holding fast to the truth of Romans 8:31, declaring that if God is for us, then no one can be against our teenagers, [teen's names]. We pray that you would shield them from harm, guide their steps, and empower them to stand strong against any challenges they may face. May they know the unwavering love and support you offer, and may their confidence in you remain unshakeable. We thank you for your constant protection and provision over their lives, in Jesus' name, Amen.
