Service

At the Middle School level, students are able to put their faith into action and make an impact by serving others in the community.  Our campus efforts are focused specifically on local law enforcement - including the Albuquerque Police Department, Bernalillo County, and the NE Heights substation.

We also participate in the campus-wide ministry efforts including our Compassion International sponsored kids, Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes at Christmastime, and local Food Drives, in addition to various teacher and student-led outreach activities.

Outreach to Local Law Enforcement

Outreach to Local Charities

Each middle school grade supports and APD substation or the State Police and plans events to show appreciation for the work that our law enforcement does for our community.

Whether it is bringing them burritos, writing letters (each Mid School student is assigned an officer to write to), or playing basketball with the officers on the Hope MS playground, this program is a blessing for the students, teachers, AND officers. When you drive by Hope Christian Middle School, you will notice student-made signs in the windows declaring things like We♥APD.

Our annual Work-a-Thon is a wonderful community outreach that is also the Mid School's biggest fundraiser. Students ask friends, family, and businesses to pledge their financial support for a day of service to local ministries (listed below), and the funds from these events are used for things such as playground / sporting equipment and tables / benches for students to enjoy lunch outside.
